Juniors Programs

The Atomic Rowing Development Program is comprised of rowers aged of 13-17 who are new to the sport of rowing. No experience is necessary to join!

Development coaches teach rowing fundamentals, training principles, and encourage the development of good athlete habits while preparing our new rowers for eventual participation in the Atomic Competitive Program. Development rowers learn and develop at their own pace with teammates who are also new to the sport while earning the opportunity to represent Atomic Rowing in fall 5k regattas and spring 2k races with their teammates!

The Atomic Rowing Competitive Program is a performance-based team aimed at improving the skills necessary to represent Atomic Rowing at the state, regional, and national levels. In addition, our athletes establish a strong foundation for high performance at camps and rowing beyond high school. The Competitive Program is selective and required standards, set by the coaches, must be met in order to become a part of the Competitive Program.

Competitive Program athletes compete in Fall season 5k regattas, and Spring season 2k sprint races. The fall season begins in late August and ends in mid-December. The spring season begins in mid-January and ends in mid-June.
