Atomic Summer Camps

Atomic Youth Summer Camp Programs are a great way to get outdoors during the summer months, meet new friends in the Knoxville and Oak Ridge Area, while engaging in the fun and exciting sport of rowing. Whether you are brand new to the sport or are seeking high performance training and racing opportunities, we have a camp for you!

Atomic Rowing offers two Summer Camps for Youth athletes. Our Learn-to-Row Summer Camp is for athletes looking for an introduction to rowing.

The Atomic Rowing Skills Camp is for all Atomic Juniors rowers who have previously completed at least one Varsity or Development season.

Registration opens soon for our Youth Summer Camps on Regatta Central under “Camps & Clinics”.

It serves as a great first introduction in preparation for our regular Fall season, which starts in August.

The camp dates are listed below, and training sessions will be held from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM each day of the camp (Monday through Friday)!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need past rowing experience? No! Atomic Summer Camps require no past rowing experience.

What age requirements are there? Atomic Youth Summer Camps welcome all youth who turn 13 this year up to age 17. We will have separate Middle & High School groups but both will start at the same time and may interact together at some points, primarily when we are off the water.

Can I sign up for multiple weeks? Yes! We encourage all campers to sign up for as many weeks as they can to continue to learn and grow with their new teammates! Campers who excel will be put with our more experienced Learn-to-Row participants each consecutive week they attend.

What should I bring? Please wear athletic fitting clothing, with socks and sneakers, and bring a plastic reusable water bottle. Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses are suggested and a great attitude is required!
