Youth Junior Program

Atomic offers programs for athletes in grades 6-12 (ages 13 to 19).

Development: for beginners and those who are still developing the fundamental skills of the sport.

Competitive/Varsity: for selected experienced rowers who have satisfied the criteria established by the coaches in order to participate in the Competitive program.

Adult Masters Program

A Masters rower is anyone over age 21.
Masters new to the sport begin with Learn-to-Row sessions leading into Development. Graduates of Development move to the Experienced Competitive program, training 3 days/wk with the option to
compete locally, regionally and nationally.

The Oak Ridge Rowing Association

The Oak Ridge Rowing Association (ORRA) was founded in 1978 with a simple and far-reaching mission: To promote the sport of rowing in Oak Ridge and East Tennessee. In serving that mission, ORRA offers Coached Programs, Events and a world-class training venue to visiting crews.

Coached programs include Atomic Junior Competitive Rowing, Atomic Masters Competitive Rowing, Development Rowing and Learn-To-Row classes. Events include hosting several Championship-level Rowing Regattas and our training venue serves visiting collegiate, junior and masters programs and athletes.  For training trips and events, contact mstinson@orra.org.
